TEACHING PHILOSOPHY  — Although new to the profession of teaching, I am no stranger to art! From the time I could walk I have been interested in creating. Throughout my career I found myself pulled toward teaching. I approach teaching much like I approach my own personal artwork. I envision creating a space where possibilities are all around, new and innovative ways of doing things are being explored and lessons from previous and current artists are being learned. Although I integrate many pedagogues of teaching, I structure my classroom around the true artistic practices found in Studio Habits of Mind.
